The EventConnect Customer Success team is here to assist team managers and participants to ensure that all required Hotel Cancellation next steps are handled in an efficient and effective manner by EventConnect. Below are the items that EventConnect is handling for all affected Reservations made through the EventConnect system:
- The cancellation of the events has been communicated to all hotels.
- All reservations made through the EventConnect system will be cancelled by EventConnect & you will receive a cancellation confirmation email. You will not have to worry about this.
- ALL NON-REFUNDABLE deposits paid during the booking process will now be available as a CREDIT towards a future booking on our private member Discount Booking Site, which has hotel rates not available to the general public. This CREDIT will provide each individual with the flexibility to book ANY hotel for ANY date for all North American and International destinations - subject to availability.
- Each reservation will be receiving further information on the Credit by email on this shortly from EventConnect

We are continuing to send out updated messaging to partners and team managers around the new Full Hotel Credit program which used to be a non-refundable deposit.

For the 2020 season, Volleyball Alberta has signed a new Housing partnership with EventConnect by RoomRoster for all Premier & Provincial Championship tournament hotel bookings.
What is EventConnect?
The EventConnect Support platform is a convenient online web and mobile application built to help traveling teams select and manage their team hotel for a tournament at discounted hotel rates.
All teams attending Volleyball Alberta events are encouraged to book their accommodations by submitting their hotel block/booking requests via the booking engine built into our tournament management system – EventConnect.
Why Use EventConnect?
1) Volleyball Alberta and EventConnect have pre-selected Sponsored Tournament Hotels in order to provide teams with the best options on value, location and amenities.
2) The ability for team managers to efficiently book their hotel reservations at a discounted rate.
3) Allows each travelling participants the ability to customize their room reservation specific to their needs.
4) Team Managers can block rooms free of charge!
How to Use EventConnect?
Access to shop for event discounted rates at tournament approved hotels are available prior to tournament registration which can be accessed by clicking the [EventConnect booking link] - block/book now! In addition to the block/book now! options,
1) After tournament registration, an account will be created for each team in the EventConnect Support System.
2) The Team Manager/Rep is emailed their Team Manager/Rep account login link to begin the process.
3) When the Team Manager/Rep selects the team hotel and creates a group block, a unique Team Member link is created and emailed to the Team Manager/Rep to forward to each Team Member who uses that link to add themselves to the Team and confirm their room at the Team Hotel.
