Referee Development

Within Alberta, the responsibility for training and development of referees is managed by the Volleyball Alberta Referees Committee. For more information regarding upcoming clinics in your area, please contact the local Zone Chair or Development Coordinator.  

Upcoming Referee Clinics

Clinic information will be posted as the zones make it available to Volleyball Alberta.

Zone 1 – Southwest Alberta Volleyball Referees Association (SAVRA) Serves Lethbridge and Area

Zone 3 – Calgary Volleyball Referees Association (CVRA) Serves Calgary and Area

Jan 24/26th, 2022 - Zone 3 Level 1 Referee Theory Clinic. 

Monday Jan 24th 6-9pm
Wednesday Jan 26th 6-9pm
Both Sessions are mandatory

ONLINE

After registration, a meeting link will be sent a few days prior to first class session.

Online clinic held using Microsoft Teams meetings. Practical evaluation dates TBD.

**Register online on the VRS-Sportlomo. You must first purchase your Volleyball Alberta membership then complete the event registration to secure your spot in the clinic.
Step 1. Purchase your Volleyball Alberta Membership
[this clinic requires you to be registered as 2022 Leader - Indoor Referee Novice, Membership Fee $17.78].
Step 2. Complete the Event Registration
[Zone 1 Level 1 Referee Theory Clinic - Sept. 15, Cost: $54.63]. 

*** Please note after the clinic and before the practical a $25 Background check will need to be completed, it is through a link we have so please do not complete it before someone from Volleyball Alberta sends you a link.
