Development Coach Workshop

PREREQUISITE: Foundations of Volleyball eLearning Module – available on Volleyball Connect LMS via your Sportlomo login.
DELIVERY: The Development Coach Workshop will consist of 4 Online sessions:
- Introduction Session
- Module 1: Basics of the Game and Systems of Play
- Module 2: Teaching Volleyball Skills
- Module 3: Practice and Drill Planning
The Development Coach workshop is designed to introduce the game of volleyball and basic methodology to the introductory coach working with
Train-to-Train athletes (13-18 age groups). The Foundations of Volleyball eLearning module is a pre-requisite to this course.
* Refunds are subject to a $35 administrative fee. Processing fees charged at the time of purchase will not be refunded.

The Advanced Development Coach course is designed for coaches working with athletes in the Learn to Compete LTD stage. The course builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the Development Coach context and incorporates advanced training methods.
The course schedule is broken up into four Online ZOOM sessions, Online Office Hour sessions (mandatory & optional) and one full-day In-Person session:
- Introduction
- Module 1: Skills Analysis and Interventions
- Module 2: Practice Planning: Integrating Decision Making
- Module 3: Competition Management
- In-Person Session: Application of Method 2/3 drills, analyzing athlete performance, and practice planning (location TBC: Edmonton / Calgary area)
Coaches must attend all mandatory sessions.
