Coach Evaluations
Coach Evaluation Information - NCCP Certification Requirements
Head Coaches in their 3rd year or more (14U–18U) during the 2026–2027 competitive club season must complete a Coach Evaluation to earn NCCP CERTIFIED status.
NCCP Certification is required for eligibility to coach at:
- Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships
- Volleyball Canada National Championships
Coach Evaluation Scheduling
To prioritize and schedule coach evaluations efficiently, Volleyball Alberta uses an annual Coach Evaluations Priority Form (Formstack questionnaire) to collect required information.
👉 Head Coaches requiring a 2027 Coach Evaluation must complete the Coach Evaluation Priority form, below.
2026 Head Coach Exemption Request - Provincial Championships
Head Coaches (14U–18U) are required to have minimum requirements for eligiblity to the 2026 Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships.
> All head coaches require a minimum of the Development Coach TRAINED status = completion of DEV.COACH WORKSHOP
> Head coaches in their 3rd year or more attending VA Provincial Championships must have the Development Coach CERTIFIED status = completion of DEV.COACH EVALUATION
Head Coaches who are unable to meet the above TRAINED or CERTIFIED status level MAY be eligible to apply for a Coach Exemption from those requirements. Please complete the following Head Coach Exemption Request – Provincial Championships Form.
The Exemption Request Form will be open: April 2027 (Tentative)
