Volleyball Alberta Releases 2027 Indoor Club Season Preview
Volleyball Alberta is excited to share an early look at the 2027 club volleyball season, including confirmed Premier and Provincial tournament weekends, important competition updates, registration information, and key dates for clubs as planning begins for the year ahead.

The 2027 season will feature tournament weekends across Alberta from January 30 through May 9, giving athletes and clubs opportunities to compete throughout the spring season.
2027 Premiers & Provincials Tournaments
- January 30-31
- February 6-7
- February 20-21
- February 27-28
- *March 6-7 – Premiers + Team Alberta Identifications Camps (15U-17U)
- March 13-14
- March 20-21
- April 3-4
- April 10-11
- April 17-18
- April 24-25
- May 1-2
- May 8-9
*Premier tournaments will take place March 6-7, but will not include the 15U-17U age classes
In addition to the tournament schedule, several important updates are coming for the 2027 season. Volleyball Alberta will align with new Volleyball Canada rules regarding libero use and athlete eligibility, while also introducing earlier tournament registration deadlines to help clubs receive venue and planning information sooner.
Clubs should also mark September 8 on their calendars, when Volleyball Alberta will release the full 2027 Season Schedule 2.0, including age categories, tournament locations, competition regulations, registration guides, coach resources, and other important season information.
Under the new tournament registration process: Facility assignments for age categories and divisions will be shared with club administrators approximately 45 days before draw release. Registration for all 2027 Premier and Provincial tournaments will open on October 7, 2026, with updated registration deadlines grouped into seasonal blocks to support improved planning and scheduling.
