Volleyball Alberta Summer Camps

2022 Summer Camp Dates

Registration: To successfully register you must first purchase a membership for the participantcreate an account on VRS-Sportlomo, and then purchase the event (program) registration. The required membership for summer camps is the: 2022 Youth Recreational Player - Indoor Membership. 

All camps will have a participant minimum and maximum with a coach to participant ratio of 1 coach to 5 participants and the overnight camp with have a 1:4 ratio. If the registration reaches maximum capacity, a waitlist will open. When spots open, Volleyball Alberta will invite participants from the waitlist to register on a sequential priority basis.

How to Register?

A Sportlomo account is needed to register for any Volleyball Alberta event. If you already have a Sportlomo account by being apart of Volleyball Alberta Club, Beach, Go-Sports etc. please skip to Step 2!

Step 1: Create Sportlomo Account

  1. https://canada.sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/registration/member-registration/club/12526
  2. Click on “2022 Recreational Player”, scroll down and press Register.
  3. This page gives you the option to sign in or sign up. You would press “Sign Up” and fill out the info needed.(words in bold mean you need to fill it out, not bolded words are optional).
  4. After filling in your personal information, the waivers below must be SCROLLED through and read to be able to click accept, it will not allow you to accept it if you don’t scroll through till the end of the agreement.
  5. Read and scroll through the blurbs above the signature to be able to sign then fill out the remaining fields and press register at the bottom of the page.
  6. Once it is Paid your account is created.

Step 2: Register for Camps!!!

  1. Click this link https://canada.sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/registration/event-registration/index/12323
  2. Then click “Purchase/Register For Events” at the bottom of the page
  3. Then it will ask you to Log In to your Sportlomo Account. Log in.
  4. Scroll down and find the Camp you would like to register for
  5. Scroll back up on the right and click “Continue”
  6. Press Save if your information is correct and then fill out all the additional information on the next page. When you are done that click continue at the bottom.
  7. Then Pay and you are all signed up!

2022 Camp Fees 

Edmonton Volleyball Camps - $499 Total

Rocky Mountain Volleyball Camp, Day Camper - $705 Total

  • Lunch is INCLUDED.
  • Does not include room & board, Breakfast or Dinner. Please contact for other food arrangements.

Rocky Mountain Volleyball Camp, Overnight Camper - $999 Total

  • Includes sleeping arrangements for the entirety of the camp with floor matresses
  • Many Showers and bathrooms located throughout the facility
  • Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Night Time Snack

Refund Policy - A full refund (less a $35.00 administration fee) will be granted to any person withdrawing from the camp prior to June 1.  A refund of $200.00 will be granted to any person withdrawing from the camp prior to June 14.  After June 14 no refunds will be granted except in the case of injury with physician documentation, family crisis, or selection to a Volleyball Alberta Elite program. During camp, a refund of $75.00 per day missed will be given to live-in campers who leave due to injury or illness. No refund will be provided should they choose to remain at camp for the duration of the week.

Camp Information

Coaching Staff - The coaching staff for Volleyball Alberta Summer Camps consist of experienced University, College, and National Team coaches and players from within Canada, in addition to some International representatives.  For example, Yuzo Fukuhara (International -Tsukuba University, Japan), Clement Lemeiux (Former Head Coach, Men's National Team), Young-Sun Lee (1984 Korean Olympian and professional player), and Fumitoshi Tokunaga (International, Budo University, Japan) have coached at Volleyball Alberta summer camps.

Rocky Mountain House Volleyball Camp (RMVC)

Located in the the beautiful town of Rocky Mountain House with the North Saskatchewan River bordering it. RMVC will provide one of the best overnight volleyball camp experience that Western Canada has to offer. This developmental camp spans 6 days with an emphasis on the basic skills and fitness levels for all athletes. Each day is scheduled with approximately 6 hours of on-court instruction, 3 hours of game play, fitness activities, and classroom lectures. Every day, all campers will be playing on outdoor grass courts with groups rotating through courts inside of the High School Gym to provide both experiences.

While having some of the provinces top coaches and post secondary athletes lead the way to ensure each and every athlete has a week they will never forget.

Facilities - RMVC will be taking place at Rocky Mountain House's new stunning facility the Rocky Regional Rec Centre, West Central High School Gym and the surronding fields! This ensures that all athletes and coaches will be a short walking distance to any court at any time needed!

Jasper Volleyball Camp (JVC) 

Facilities in Jasper that we use are either under construction or will not allow rentals this summer. Volleyball Alberta's goal is to be back in Jasper for JVC Camps in 2023!!

Located in the majestic Rocky Mountains in the Jasper National Park town-site, JVC provides the best scenery for a summer camp. This developmental camp spans 6 days with an emphasis on the basic skills and fitness levels for all athletes. Each day is scheduled with approximately 6 hours of on-court instruction, 3 hours of game play, fitness activities, and classroom lectures. 

Facilities - JVC takes place outdoors where you can absorb the breathtaking beauty of the incredible Rocky Mountains. The camp is based around the Jasper Activity Centre, the Jasper High School, and the Jasper Elementary School. The camp provides each live-in athlete with: a dining area, 3 full meals per day prepared by professional cooks, shower facilities, indoor & outdoor courts, lecture rooms, an athletic trainer and support staff.

**Detailed Information packages will be mailed out to registrants 2 weeks prior to Camps commencement.

Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camp (SLVC) 

Facilities in Sylvan Lake that we use are either under construction or will not allow rentals this summer. Volleyball Alberta's goal is to be back in Sylvan Lake for SLVC Camps in 2023!!

The Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camp is similar to JVC and takes place in the resort town of Sylvan Lake, Alberta (15 min west of Red Deer). The Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camp is a developmental camp spanning 6 days with an emphasis on the basic skills and fitness levels for all athletes. The days are split between grass sessions, indoor sessions & a couple of days at the beach! Daily schedules contains approximately 5 hours of on-court instruction and 2 hours of game play. Both the indoor game and the beach game will be covered.

Facilities - The Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camp takes place primarily outdoors on grass & sand courts at the pier with some indoor sessions. You will have ample time to take in the sights and sounds of one of Alberta's premiere resort towns. The camp provides each live-in athlete with: a dining area, 3 full meals per day prepared by professional cooks, shower facilities, indoor & outdoor courts, lecture rooms, an athletic trainer and support staff.

Recreational Activities - Wednesday is the Camp's activity day. Athletes are encouraged to participate in recreational activities. Jasper activities include guided river rafting and swimming. The recreational activities are not included in the price of the camp. All activities are supervised.

Pre-Camp Information - Once you are registered for the camp, further details with regards to clothing, supplies and scheduling details will be e-mailed to you (usually in mid- May for JVC and mid-June for SLVC).
