Tournaments

• A refund will be issued less a $35 administration fee if withdrawal occurs before the registration deadline.
• No refund will be issued for withdrawals made after the registration deadline, unless a doctor’s note is provided.
• With a valid doctor’s note submitted after the deadline, a refund less the $35 administration fee will be issued.
• Withdrawals made after the Wednesday prior to the tournament will incur a $50 late withdrawal fee, unless supported by a doctor’s note.

Event Cancellation

• If Volleyball Alberta cancels an event and it cannot be rescheduled, participants will receive a refund of variable program costs to the original method of payment.
• If an event begins:
  • No refund will be issued if 25% or more of matches are completed
  • A 50% refund will be issued if less than 25% of matches are completed

Team Withdrawals & Forfeits

A withdrawal occurs when a team does not attend the tournament.

• Teams that withdraw without prior notice will be charged a $100 withdrawal fee

A forfeit occurs when a team has already started the tournament (played at least one match) but is unable to continue

• Teams that notify the Beach Coordinator in advance of a forfeit will incur a $25 penalty
• Teams that do not notify the Beach Coordinator of a forfeit will incur a $50 penalty
• The Beach Coordinator may waive penalties in cases of injury

Payment & Participation

• All fees and penalties must be paid before participating in the next Volleyball Alberta event
• Athletes and teams are responsible for knowing their schedule and match times
