Volleyball Alberta GO Sport’s is a program that gives kids ages 6 & up an opportunity to learn the sport of volleyball.
GO Sports Fall, opens in August 2026

GO Sports Spring, opens in February 2027

These programs are supported by the Government of Alberta through the Every Kid Can Play Grant.
A $30.00 discount will be applied to the programs when you purchase it on sportlomo. House leagues and smashfest are not included in the discount.
Registration Details & Links
If you are registering for the Orchards program, there is a different registration process. Please see the Edmonton Orchards tab for more information.
To successfully register you must first purchase a membership for the participant, create an account on VRS-Sportlomo, and then purchase the program registration.
The required membership for GO Sports is the: 2026 Youth Recreational Player – Indoor Membership. Volleyball Alberta’s membership year is September 1 to August 31 of each year.

Note:
Cancellation Deadline is before noon a week before the start date of the program
Cancellations prior to the deadline will be processed less a $35 Administrative Fee.
Cancellations on or after the deadline are non-refundable.
If a participant cannot participate for a particular session, no refunds will be offered.
If cancelled by Volleyball Alberta and the session cannot be rescheduled for later days, VA will refund participants the variable costs of the program onto the original method of payment*.

Membership Fee
Volleyball Alberta requires Players, Coaches, Referees, and Club Staff to become members prior to registering for any of our programs and events. Membership fees include a Volleyball Alberta and Volleyball Canada component.

All of our memberships are upgradable, meaning already paid membership fees will discount if upgrading from indoor to beach or from program to program in the same season. Memberships are non-refundable.
General Program Info
What to bring for GO Sports Volleyball Programs:
Water bottle – Staying hydrated is important!
Indoor gym shoes – Non-marking soles are recommended for traction and safety. If it’s an outdoor program please, wear to appropriate shoes outside.
Athletic clothing – Comfortable, breathable attire similar to what’s worn in school gym class (e.g., t-shirt and athletic shorts or leggings). For outdoor programs, please dress accordingly for the weather.
Cultural or modest attire – long-sleeves, full-length skirts, or sports hijabs are welcome as long as they allow for movement and comfort.
Knee pads (optional) – Helps protect against floor impact when diving or kneeling.
Hair tied back – If applicable, securing hair in a ponytail, braid, or under a sports hijab can help with comfort and visibility.

GO Sport Atomic programs follow the curriculum set out in Volleyball Canada’s Atomic Volleyball Program. Atomic Volleyball is an 7-week program with adapted rules for youth ages 9-12 years. Each session is 1.5 hours with every session being a combination of skills/technique practice and modified games play. Atomic Volleyball is part of the Long-Term Athlete Development Model Stage 2 “Learning to Train” that stresses FUN, FAIRPLAY, and PARTICIPATION by increasing the number of ball contacts.
This program in an OUTDOOR program on a grass court runs out of the Orchards Residents Association (Address: 4059 Orchards Dr Sw, Edmonton AB T6X 1W5)

GO Mini-Volley (6-8 years)
Mini-Volley is an introductory program for children between the ages of 6-8 to the sport of volleyball.
This program provides game like activities (PLAY), ensures that participants stay active (FUN) and allows them to experience success while focusing on the development of fundamental movement patterns.
This program emphasizes the importance of developing physical literacy in children which will allow them to gain the competence and confidence they need to participate in a wide variety of physical activities.

GO Tripleball (12-13 years)
This program is for individuals who have completed the Atomic programs and are ready to transition into Tripleball gameplay which is the official competition format for all Canadian regions offering 13U & 12U age class competitions. The goal of Tripleball is to promote better skill acquisition & development, participation, meaningful competition, and fun. Sessions each week will be a combination of Skill Development & Tripleball gameplay.

GO LEAGUE (14-18 years)
GO League is for athletes between the ages of 14-18 years. There are two sessions each week, one session will focus on skill acquisition and development while the second session will be game based. The GO League will provide participants with a non-competitive, recreational environment to work on fundamental systems, strategies, and team play.
* The GO League Wednesday/Sunday program is NOT where participants play against other leagues but develop within the program and play against each other on alternating sessions.

This program runs out of the Level 1 Sports. The address is 14449 Yellowhead Trail NW, Edmonton, AB T5L 3C4. Next door to Proline Construction. They share a building with them so respect all parking signs. Overflow parking is a gravel lot to the east of the building.

This program gives youth ages 13-17 the opportunity to play volleyball in a fun recreational program. During these sessions, there will be limited coaching with the majority of the time focusing on playing a volleyball game. A membership is required to participate but no registration is required for the program itself.
The program runs out of Legacy Athletics and Level 1 Sports.
