Program Overview

Athletes are able to be selected to the Team AB Beach 15U-18U programs and the Indoor Canada Cup teams.

Athletes selected will have the opportunity to be coached by some of Alberta’s top beach volleyball coaches in a competitive high performance training environment.

Each age class will have a head coach who will provide coaching and support in training as well as at provincials and nationals.

2026 Program Update

A maximum of 14 teams (28 athletes) will be selected to the program in the 15U/16U and 17U/18U age classes.

Please note: Team AB Beach Selection camps are open to all age eligible athletes

Team Alberta Beach Goals

To produce excellence among the top age class athletes in the province of Alberta.

To develop the athlete’s technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills by exposing selected athletes to enriched levels of training and competition.

To provide opportunities for personal and leadership development.

Success at the Provincial Championships, Canada Summer Games, National Championships; as well as the long-term preparation of athletes for participation and success at National Team levels.

Step 1

Register for Selection Camp
Athletes register through Sportlomo once registration opens.

Step 2

Optional GMTM Submission
Athletes may submit information through GMTM to support the identification process.

Step 3

Selection Camp
Age-eligible athletes attend the June 19–21 selection camp in Calgary.

Step 4

Team Selection
Up to 14 teams / 28 athletes may be selected across the 15U – 18U age classes.

Training & Competition
Selected athletes attend training camps, Provincials, and Youth Beach Nationals.
